They also had a section in the forums where you could post a portion of your WIP and get feedback from other writers. And because I enjoy torture, I posted a couple of my WIP's. The feedback I received was helpful. So between that and the contest I took second in over at Critique_This_WIP, I should have a mighty fine first couple of chapters. Yay me!!!
The Bold Face Liar Creative Writer award requires you to:
2. Add the award to your blog.
3. Tell six outrageous lies about yourself and one truth.
4. Nominate four creative liars–I mean writers–and post links to them.
5. Let your nominees know that they have been nominated.
1) I won my sixth grade spelling bee.
2) My middle name is Anabelle.
3) I was offered a job as a stripper.
4) My first job was as a cook at Burger King.
5) I played Eliza in My Fair Lady in college.
6) I was a cheerleader in High School.
7) I worked as a bartender in Diamonds.
I pass this award on to:
John Smith
Alex J. Cavanaugh
L. Diane Wolfe
Sara
I'll be sure to post which one is the truth in a day or two. But until then, you're welcome to try and guess.

congrats on the award, Shells, and it's great that you picked Alex to pass him the award! :)
Wow. Hard to guess. I think your middle name is Anabelle.
you're totally hot PLUS you're friends w/the Tart, so I'm going w/#3 being the truth. LOL! And thanks for the lovely props. Lurv my boa, dahling~ ;p
Thank you, RaShelle!
I'm going with the Burger King one.
I think you 2on you sixth grade spelling bee. The conference was fab - awesome that you made new friend.
I have no idea... Darn. They all seem plausible... I don't see an outrageous lie anywhere!
I'm glad you had a great and fulfilling experience. Less truth, more lies: that's where it's at these days ;-)
You are a fabulous, accomplished liar. I'm so proud of you. All of them seem plausible, which is exactly what you want to do when you are writing lies...er...writing fiction. But for the record, I think you were a cheerleader.
DEZMOND - Thanks Dez. You are the coolest movie blogger on the planet. Just sayin!!! And Alex is a great creative li- I mean writer. He deserved the award. ;)
Angie - *smiles sweetly*
Leigh - LOL - thanks for calling me HOT, that's what the girl at the club said last night too. ROFL. =D And you deserve the props!!
Alex - Your welcome! Your novel sounds amazing. Can hardly wait to read it. That took alot of lyin- creativity. LOL =D
Mary - I am a great spellerererer. ;D Wasn't the conferece great? I agree.
Melissa - Heh Heh!!! I'm a natural. Ask the kids in my sixth grade class about the huge earthquake I was in. It was a doozy. ;-)
James - Ah, really. I thought it was complete and total honesty. C'mon, ya sound a little cynical.
Melanie - Thank you. Thank you. I'd like to thank my family. The six hundred times we moved. It allowed me to reinvent myself over and over and over again. Mwhahahahaha. :)
Hi RaShelle,
Thank you for the award!
I'll be sure to link to you soon.
From someone who speaks creative untruths,
John Smith
Okay, I'm voting for #2 simply because that's my MC's name and I've never met anyone with that name spelled with 1 n. I'm probably shooting myself in the foot here, but dreams can come true, no?
Congrats on the award :)
The writing convention sounds pretty great. Congrats on the award.
John Smith - Your welcome. I enjoy your blog. =D
Rosie - Dreams come true all of the time!!!
Cheeseboy - The convention was incredible. And thanks. ;D
Hey, girl! I think #7 is the lie. Hee, hee. I also LOVE what you've done to the place. Paris, Paris, Paris! (I usually read in Bloglines so I didn't see the new decorating until now.) I have a whole romantic YA novel set in Paris. Unfortunately, it's never been subbed . . .
Great truths I can't believe you were offered a job as a stripper hahah.
Wasn't being a cheerleader fabulous! I so miss it
Happy Monday!
RaShelle Anabelle, I don't think so (I'd better not get this one wrong LOL). I'll go for Stripper (not that I frequent them). Many women are offered jobs as dancers by some scumbag. I'll go with door number 4, only because I worked at a BK for three days before walking away. I felt ridiculous wearing that goofy striped shirt. Only Hot Dog on a Stick offered worse costumes for their employees.
Stephen Tremp
Sadly I had too many work/family/etc obligations to participate in the Con live, but in looking at a number of the posts, it looked like a great time with loads of cool insights and advice.
As for your "lies", I have no idea but think you compiled a very intriguing list. I look forward to the answers. :)
Kimberely - Ha, you are soooo right. LOL
Teenage Bride - I was a cheerleader in ninth grade and it was awesome!!!! =D
Stephen Tremp - The fast food joys. McDonalds was my thang!!! Yeah, I couldn't have done the Hot Dog on a Stick thing. Those that do are brave, sexy kids. LOL
Okie - Sorry you missed WriteOnCon, but that's the cool thing about them leaving it online. You really don't have ti miss it!!! YAY!!!
